The Need for Unity is Now In the Sabarmati area of Ahmedabad—home to nearly 700 Jain families—a grave incident has occurred involving Mr. Manishbhai Mehta. Manishbhai is a well-known devotee and animal welfare advocate whose daughter has also embraced the path of Diksha. Despite his dedicated service to the community, particularly in Vihar security, Manishbhai was brutally assaulted by a local builder and approximately 25 other miscreants. The severity of the physical remains so high that he is currently suffering from serious vision impairment. Our Action & Demand for Justice Upon learning of this serious situation, the Jain Rashtriya Ekta Sangathan took immediate action: Police Representation: On March 13, 2026, President Sanjaybhai Shah, along with local leaders, activists, and family members, met with the Police Inspector (PI) at the Sabarmati Police Station. Safety Concerns: We discussed the ongoing threats and intimidation from the builder and demanded strict legal action to ensure the safety of the Mehta family and the local Jain community. Next Steps: While we seek an immediate resolution and justice, we have made it clear that if the situation is not addressed, we will escalate the matter by submitting formal memorandums to the Police Commissioner, the Collector’s Office, the Chief Minister, and the Deputy Chief Minister. We stand united against such violence and will not rest until justice is served.

Jain Rashtriya Ekta Sangathan (JRES) has always been at the forefront of protecting the values, dignity, and integrity of the Jain community. In response to Mahua Moitra’s recent remarks, which were seen as insulting to the Jain community, our members took a strong stand by organizing a large-scale protest against the TMC Party of West Bengal, Mahua Moitra, and Mamata Banerjee.
